About Amy Shugar
Amy Shugar’s passion for helping people and her client- centered and honest approach to business are the reasons why so many of her clients work with her time and again to reach their real estate goals. Originally from Montreal, Amy knows what it is like to move to a new city and put down roots. She understands the importance of finding not only the right home at the right price, but also the importance of finding the right neighbourhood and amenities – and how this makes all the difference to homebuyers loo king for a place to live, work, and play, and to raise their families.
For home sellers, Amy understands both the excitement and mixed emotions they can sometimes have about moving onto the next chapter in their life, and she guides them, ensuring they have all of the important information they need to make their decisions.
Amy is both competitive and a team player – traits that she began developing at the age of four when her parents enrolled her in hockey. She has carried those values into her professional life and now with more than 20 years in the real estate industry, it is no wonder that she has built many long - time client relationships. Amy’s track record of helping clients achieve their real estate goals – be it in buying or selling – speaks for itself.
One philosophy that Amy holds that makes her so approachable with both colleagues and clients is that she values listening. By listening to her clients in order to truly understand their wishes, she is able to guide them in the direction that she feels will give them the most benefit and that will most closely align with their goals. As someone with her own real estate portfolio, Amy knows the importance of real estate in wealth building and financial success.
When she is not helping her clients, Amy enjoys practicing yoga, playing tennis, and serving her community with her love of hockey. She is currently the assistant coach for a children’s hockey team, the Erindale Spitfires. Amy loves seeing the kids develop their skills and learn the values of hard work and team spirit – values that will serve them wherever life takes them.
Along with the rest of the Shugar Team, Amy is also an avid supporter and sponsor of Kids CAN – an amazing not for profit, charitable organization that provides support and encouragement for children and youth with autism and other developmental disorders. Kids CAN offers programs such as after - school social groups, individual support programs, teen counselling, family support groups, and parent coaching.
